Cati Bestard Cati’s work uses photography and sculpture to explore the architecture, history and elements of the spaces she inhabits. Her work plays with scale, context and the construction of systems. Through the manipulation of images, and through visual iterations that dilute and deconstruct the image, she builds specific relationships between the elements of a body of work. She relates the immobility of architecture to that of other social constructs, such as gender. Cati is from Mallorca and received her MFA from Columbia University. catibestard.com
